The Premier League is always providing exciting derby games, and that’s the case this Saturday, October 22, so make sure you read the best Chelsea vs. Manchester United betting pick and odds.

Chelsea are looking to extend their unbeaten streak to six games in the Premier League when they host Manchester United at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea are +115 favorite on Bovada Sportsbook; a draw is at +250, while Manchester United can be backed at +265. These rivals met twice last season, and both games ended 1-1.

Chelsea are looking good under Graham Potter

Since the sacking of Thomas Tuchel and the hiring of Graham Potter, Chelsea are unbeaten in the Premier League. In those four games, the Blues recorded three wins with one draw and conceded just one goal. They did fail to score in the most recent duel at Brentford, but kept the clean sheet in a scoreless stalemate and are now in the 4th place with 20 points, seven behind the league leaders Arsenal and a point ahead of Manchester United.

Although Chelsea didn’t have enough time to recover from their latest PL game, Potter still hopes that his team will inject some energy for Saturday. The Blues haven’t lost at Stamford Bridge since April (W6, D4). Even so, the last time Chelsea beat Manchester United in an H2H game at home was in November 2017. Interestingly, Potter is the fourth manager to lead Chelsea since.

Goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is a man to watch for the hosts; he made 12 saves in his last two games, but he allowed nine goals in his four H2Hs against the Red Devils. Graham Potter will be without N’Golo Kante (hamstring), Reece James (knee), and Wesley Fofana (knee).

Manchester United beat Tottenham Hotspur to climb up to the 6th

Manchester United are undefeated in the last five games in all competitions and kept the net intact in each of the previous three. After failing to beat Newcastle United at home in a 0-0 draw, the Red Devils bounced back with a convincing 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, one of the rivals for the Champions League places.

Confidence at Old Trafford is high at the moment, especially considering Manchester United lost only one of the last 11 H2H duels in all competitions (W4, D6). Playing away games isn’t a problem for ten Hag’s boys, the Red Devils won five of their previous six road trips, with the only blemish on that record a 6-3 loss to Manchester City.

In-form Marcus Rashford scored five career goals against Chelsea; his tally is better only against Leicester City and Liverpool. Erik ten Hag cannot count on Anthony Martial (back), Donny van de Beek (muscle), and Cristiano Ronaldo (coach’s decision), while Harry Maguire (muscle) is questionable.

Chelsea vs. Manchester United Pick

Aside from the city derby game against Pep Guardiola’s side, when Manchester United were destroyed, they played derby games quite well this season. Three wins against Liverpool, Arsenal, and Tottenham is something that should concern Graham Potter and the hosts, but I am sure Chelsea will find a way to get three points here. Chelsea are unbeaten at Stamford Bridge this season, and I think it will stay that way on Saturday. That said, I don’t think they will settle for a draw; I am backing the hosts to get three points.

Pick: Take Chelsea to win (+115)

The Total

Considering the defensive record of these respective teams, I don’t expect to see a lot of goals at Stamford Bridge. Seven of the previous ten H2H encounters failed to produce more than two goals, which occurred in each of the last four. Given how their respective offenses are playing of late, I am going with Under 2.5 goals.

Pick: Under 2.5 goals (+100)
