Threads will tell you a payout took three days. They rarely tell you which of the three stages it was stuck in, and that is the part that matters.

Payout speed is the most discussed practical subject in offshore betting, and the discussion is unusually hard to read, because almost nobody breaks the timing down. Somebody says a withdrawal took four days. Somebody else says the same book paid them in two hours. Both are probably telling the truth.

A withdrawal has three stages

Getting this straight makes every thread on the subject legible.

  • Review. The book checks the account. Rollover complete, identity verified, method eligible. This is where almost all delay happens and it is the stage nobody mentions.
  • Send. The book releases the money. For crypto this is a transaction broadcast. For a wire it is a banking instruction.
  • Arrival. The money reaches you. Minutes for crypto, days for traditional banking.

When somebody says a payout took four days, the useful question is which stage consumed them. Four days in review means an account issue. Four days in arrival means they chose a bank wire. Those are completely different problems and only one of them is the book’s doing.

What we measured

Rather than aggregate anecdote, we time our own. This is a single documented Bitcoin withdrawal from our Bookmaker review, recorded at each stage.

One withdrawal, one book, one method. A data point rather than a guarantee.
StageTimeElapsed
Request submitted2:47 PM Wednesday
Approved and sent by the book4:11 PM same day1 hr 24 min
Arrived in wallet, confirmed on chain4:58 PM same day2 hr 11 min total

For comparison, the deposit side of the same test credited in seven minutes, sent at 9:14 AM and showing in the balance at 9:21.

We publish these because a timed test with stages recorded is checkable in a way that “usually pretty fast” is not. Our fastest payout rankings apply the same approach across books.

Method matters more than the book

This is the finding that surprises people. The gap between payment methods at a single sportsbook is usually wider than the gap between sportsbooks.

Withdrawal terms documented at one offshore book. Representative of the pattern rather than universal.
MethodProcessingFeeFrequency
Bitcoin and other cryptoWithin 24 hours of approvalFreeDaily
Visa or MastercardWithin 24 hoursNoneOne per week
Check by courierFive business days$25 to $35One per week
Bank wireFive to seven business days$600One per week
Person to personOne to three business days$25 to $35One per week

Two hours against seven business days, free against $600, daily against weekly. Somebody complaining that an offshore book is slow to pay is frequently somebody who chose a wire.

What actually causes the delay

Nearly every genuinely stuck withdrawal traces to one of four things, and three of them are fixable by the customer.

Unfinished rollover. The big one, and it catches people who claimed no bonus at all. Several books apply a one-times rollover to plain deposits, meaning you must wager the deposit once before a withdrawal processes. Deposit, change your mind, request it back, and the request sits.

Identity verification. The check usually happens at first withdrawal rather than at signup, which is why it feels like an ambush. Documents submitted through the cashier get processed. Documents emailed as attachments frequently do not.

Method mismatch. Requesting a method the account is not eligible for, or one that does not match how you deposited.

Size. Unusually large requests get more scrutiny. Withdrawal caps also apply, commonly in the region of $25,000 a day and $100,000 a month on crypto at the books we have tested.

How to get paid faster

  • Use crypto if you are able to. The gap is not marginal.
  • Verify your identity before your first withdrawal rather than during it, and submit through the cashier.
  • Finish any rollover, including deposit rollover, before requesting.
  • Make your first withdrawal a small one to confirm the flow works before moving a meaningful amount.
  • Copy and paste wallet addresses. Never type one.
  • Keep a record of the request time, amount and transaction reference.

Questions people ask

How long do offshore sportsbook withdrawals take?

It depends far more on method than on operator. In our own testing a Bitcoin withdrawal completed in two hours and eleven minutes from request to wallet, while bank wires at the same book are documented at five to seven business days with a $600 fee.

Why is my sportsbook withdrawal pending?

Almost always the review stage. The common causes are unfinished rollover, including the one-times deposit rollover some books apply even with no bonus claimed, an outstanding identity verification request, or a payment method the account is not eligible for.

Do I have to verify my identity to withdraw?

Usually yes, and the check typically triggers at your first withdrawal rather than at signup. Submitting documents through the cashier portal rather than by email is the difference between a day and a week.

Are there limits on how much you can withdraw?

Yes. At the offshore books we have tested, crypto caps in the region of $25,000 per day and $100,000 per month are common, and non-crypto methods are typically limited to one withdrawal per week with much lower ceilings.
