Which thread it belongs in, what to blur out before you upload it, and why yours keeps disappearing.
Posting a screenshot of a bet is the most normal thing in the world and it is also the fastest way to get your first post removed on Reddit. The rules are simple once somebody explains them, and almost nobody does.
Where it goes
On r/sportsbook, a bet slip never gets its own post. It goes in a thread, and which thread depends on what the slip is.
- A winning or losing ticket you want to show off or mourn: Flex and Cope Daily.
- A single bet you are putting up before the game: Pick of the Day.
- A multi-leg ticket: Parlay of the Day.
- A baseball prop: MLB Props and Home Run Picks, which is the busiest thread on the subreddit in summer.

On r/sportsbetting you can post a slip as its own thread, which is the main practical reason people use it as their second community. There is also r/sportsbookextra, an official overflow community for individual posts, but with roughly 2,900 members and very little traffic it is not worth much.
What to blur out first
This is the part worth reading twice, because a bet slip screenshot contains more than most people realise.
Your account balance. It tells strangers exactly how much money you have with a book, which is an invitation to be targeted by anyone running a scam.
The ticket or wager ID. On some platforms this is enough for customer service to identify your account. It is also what people use to fake screenshots, so removing it protects you from being accused of it later.
Your username, account number and any part of your name. Obvious, and still the most common thing left visible.
Any barcode or QR code. Retail tickets in particular can be scanned from a photo.
The rest of your open bets. Most apps show your other pending wagers in the same screen. Crop tightly.
Crop rather than blur where you can. Blur tools on phones are less thorough than they look, and pixelation on small text is sometimes reversible.
Why yours got removed anyway
Four causes, in rough order of frequency.
You posted it outside a thread. Fix it by reposting as a comment in the right daily thread. Nothing else needs to change.
You added a referral link or promo code. Every major betting community bans these. Even a code with no money attached reads as promotion.
You linked to where the image is hosted rather than uploading it. Some communities filter link posts to image hosts. Upload directly instead.
You posted the same slip in several communities within a few minutes. Reddit’s own spam filter picks this up regardless of what the moderators think.
How to post one people actually respond to
Screenshots on their own get ignored. The ones that get replies do two things.
They say what the number was and where it came from. A slip showing -110 when the room got -105 somewhere else starts a conversation, and that conversation is the most useful thing in the thread. It is also the reason experienced bettors keep accounts at several books, which we cover in our sportsbook rankings.
They post before the event, not after. A winning slip posted after the whistle is a photograph. The same slip posted two hours earlier is a position somebody can argue with.

Can I post a bet slip with a promo code visible?
No. Referral links and promo codes are banned across every major betting community, including ones with no money attached to them. The post will be removed and repeated attempts can get the account banned.
