Another busy day in the NCAAB awaits us on Sunday, December 4, when we have over 40 games on the schedule, so make sure you don’t miss out on the best Beavers vs. Trojans betting pick and odds.

USC is hoping for the fourth straight home victory when they welcome Oregon State Galen Center. The Trojans are firm -14.5 favorites on BetUS Sportsbook, while the total is set at 135.5 points. These Pac-12 foes have met twice last year, and the Trojans won both duels.

Beavers snapped a losing skid

The Oregon State Beavers (4-4, 4-3-0 ATS) opened the season with three wins, but then they suffered four consecutive losses. Three of those defeats came at the Phil Knight Legacy tournament in Portland, OR, where the Beavers lost to Duke, Florida, and Portland State. The Beavers did respond with a tight 66-65 home victory over the Washington Huskies to open a conference play with a W. Dexter Akanno made a layup and scored a free throw with eight seconds to go, while Keion Brooks missed a buzzer-beating three-pointer for Washington.

Senior forward Dzmitry Ryuny Led Oregon State with 14 points, a game-high nine rebounds, a game-high five assists, and game-high five steals. Dexter Akanno followed him with 13 points and four boards, while Glenn Taylor Jr. had ten points and six rebounds.

G Christian Wright (knee) and G Justin Rochelin (knee) are out indefinitely and will not play on Sunday against USC.

Trojans opened the conference play with a win

The USC Trojans (5-3, 4-4-0 ATS) returned home from the Bahamas where they spent the previous three games at the Bad Boy Mowers Battle 4 Atlantis tournament. After beating the BYU Cougars to reach the semi-final, the Trojans lost to the Tennessee Volunteers and then to the Wisconsin Badgers in the battle for third place. Still, USC defeated the California Golden Bears 66-51 to open the conference play victoriously, while that was also their first road game of the season.

The Trojans allowed a season-low 51 points in this W. They kept the Golden Bears to 27.7% from the field and 25.0% from downtown. Sophomore guard Reese Dixon-Waters led the Trojans with 17 points and six rebounds off the bench. Drew Peterson had 14 points, game-high seven boards, and game-high five assists, while Joshua Morgan chipped in 14 points, seven rebounds, and matched a season-high seven blocks.

F Vincent Iwuchukwu (heart) is out indefinitely and will not be playing on Sunday against the Beavers.

Trends:

Oregon State:

  • 5-11 ATS in the last 16 games against the Pac-12 conference rivals

USC:

  • 6-1 SU in the last seven games when playing at home against Oregon State
  • 12-5 SU in the last 17 games against the Pac-12 conference opponents

Oregon State Beavers vs. USC Trojans Pick

The Beavers are inferior in this particular matchup, and that is a trend for years now. USC won four of the previous five H2H duels and seven of the last eight at home. The Trojans have better offense and defense than the Beavers, who lost 17 consecutive games away from home (neutral and road), which is a disappointing fact for Oregon State. Boogie Ellis, Drew Peterson, and Reese Dixon-Waters should have an easy job on Sunday, and I am backing them to combine for 40+ points here.

Pick: Take the Trojans at -14.5 (-110)

The Total

Although I expect the Trojans to keep the visitors below 65 points, I am going with a high-scoring game as I am backing USC to score 75+. They managed to score over 75 points on three occasions already this year, all three at home, and considering that Oregon State allowed 75+ in ten of the last 12 road games, this makes sense. Another intriguing fact is that the total has gone Over in each of Oregon State’s last ten games played on a Sunday!

Pick: Go Over 135.5 points (-110)
