The MNF in the NFL is usually looking to provide us with one of the most exciting matchups, and this time around, we have an NFC West duel on Monday, October 3, so here you can get the best Rams vs. 49ers betting pick and odds.

Los Angeles is hoping to improve to a 3-1 record when they visit San Francisco at Levi’s Stadium. The 49ers are slight -1.5 favorites on BetUS Sportsbook, while the total is set at 42.5 points. These NFC West foes have met three times in 2021, including in the AFC Championship game, and the 49ers won two of those games.

Rams are back on track with a win over the Cardinals

The Los Angeles Rams opened the new NFL season with a big home loss to the Buffalo Bills, but the reigning champions responded with a pair of victories over the Atlanta Falcons and Arizona Cardinals. The Rams produced their best defensive display of the campaign in a 20-12 win over the Cards as they didn’t allow a single touchdown. Arizona was better in total yards (365-339), first downs (23-15), and possession, but the Rams still got away with a W.

Matthew Stafford completed 18 of 25 passes for 249 yards, no touchdowns, and no interceptions. Ben Skowronek and Tyler Higbee combined for 127 yards on 12 receptions, while the Bills collected precisely 100 yards on the ground. Cam Akers led the bunch with 61 yards and a TD on 12 carries, while Cooper Kupp scored the first rushing touchdown in his carries. Derion Kendrick and Bobby Wagner led all the defenders with nine tackles apiece.

C Brian Allen (knee) and WR Van Jefferson Jr. (knee) are out indefinitely and will not feature on Monday against the 49ers.

49ers fell short to the Broncos on the road

In one of the most peculiar games in recent years, the San Francisco 49ers lost to the Denver Broncos 11-10 on the road and dropped to a 1-2 record. San Francisco had a 10-5 lead in the fourth quarter, but the hosts scored a TD and then locked the Niners’ offense from scoring a game-winning field goal. The 49ers’ recklessness and three turnovers opposite Denver’s zero also didn’t help the visitors in this loss.

Jimmy Garoppolo, who stepped in for injured Trey Lance, completed 18 of 29 passes for 211 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Brandon Aiyuk caught that lone TD pass, while Deebo Samuel led the team with 73 receiving yards on five catches. On the ground, San Francisco was kept to below 90 yards, but Jeff Wilson Jr. had a solid outing with game-high 75 yards on 12 carries. Defensively, Dre Greenlaw was the best in this game with ten total tackles.

T Trent Williams suffered an ankle injury against Denver and will miss four to six weeks. LB Azeez Al-Shaair is out of the lineup due to an MCL sprain, and he is expected to miss six to eight weeks, while DT Arik Armstead (foot) is questionable to play on Sunday against the Rams.

Trends:

Los Angeles:

  • 31-15-1 ATS in the last 47 vs. NFC rivals
  • 4-1 ATS in the last five Monday games

San Francisco:

  • 0-6 SU in the last six games played in Week 4

Los Angeles Rams vs. San Francisco 49ers Pick

The 49ers have been disappointing to say at least and it seems that Jimmy G is not good enough to be a starting quarterback in the NFL. San Francisco has one of the worst offenses that is scoring 15.7 ppg, while the Niners are averaging just 172.7 passing yards per game. The Rams, on the other hand, are more talented offensively, while their defense should have an easier job of penetrating through Frisco’s O-Line now when Trent Williams is out. I am going with the visitors here.

Pick: Take the Rams at +1.5 (-110)

The Total Pick

The only chance for the 49ers to win this game is to make it a low-scoring affair. After all, San Francisco does have the top 3 defense in the NFL that is allowing 12.3 ppg, but given their offense is averaging just 15.7 ppg, I don’t think we will have plenty of points here. Under is 4-1 in the last five H2H meetings; Under is 7-2 in the previous nine H2H duels in San Francisco, while Under is 10-1 in the 49ers’ last 11 games overall.

Pick: Go Under 42.5 points (-110)
