The second of two NBA games scheduled for Sunday, February 12, will be played in Toronto, and here you can read the best Pistons vs. Raptors betting pick and odds.

Detroit will open a three-game road trip when they visit Toronto at Scotiabank Arena. The Raptors are 10-point favorites on Bovada Sportsbook, while the total is set at 231.5 points. These conference rivals will meet for the second time this season; the Raptors won 115-111 back in November in Detroit.

Pistons edged the Spurs in a double OT

The Detroit Pistons (15-42, 24-30-3 ATS) snapped a three-game losing skid with a 138-131 double-overtime victory over the San Antonio Spurs at home. The Pistons failed to score more than 100 points in each of those three defeats but bounced back magnificently against San Antonio. Detroit now has the same record as the Charlotte Hornets at the bottom of the Eastern Conference. Bojan Bogdanovic had a chance to win it for the hosts in regulation but missed a 15-foot shot, but scored a pair of free throws to force the second overtime. Detroit made only seven three-pointers opposite the Spurs’ 14, but the Pistons were better from the foul line (39-27), in rebounds (62-51), and in assists (29-21).

Bojan Bogdanovic led the Pistons with a game-high 32 points and five rebounds. Jalen Duren posted a double-double of a career-high 30 points and game-high 17 boards along with a career-high four blocks, Jaden Ivey had 17 points, eight rebounds, and game-high eight assists, Isaiah Stewart recorded a double-double of 15 points and 11 boards, while Isaiah Livers also had a double-double of 11 points and ten rebounds.

C Nerlens Noel (personal), PF/C Marvin Bagley III (hand), and PG Cade Cunningham (shin) are out indefinitely. C James Wiseman came to Detroit in a trade with the Golden State Warriors and is questionable to play on Sunday in Toronto.

Raptors lost to the Jazz at home

For the second time in ten days, the Toronto Raptors (26-31, 28-29-0 ATS) lost to the Utah Jazz. After a 131-128 loss in Salt Lake City, the Raptors suffered a 122-116 defeat in Toronto. This loss snapped a three-game winning streak, but the Raptors will have a good chance to respond against Detroit, after which will host Orlando and New Orleans. Utah won the final quarter by 19 points, which decided this tilt. Toronto did make 12 triples opposite the Jazz’s six, but that didn’t help them in the end.

Pascal Siakam led the Raptors with a game-high 35 points, six rebounds, four assists, and game-high three steals. Gary Trent had 19 points, five boards, and four dishes, Fred VanVleet posted a 17/4/4/2 line, Precious Achiuwa added a 16/4/4 line, while Scottie Barnes finished with 12 points, game-high nine dimes, and team-high seven rebounds.

SF Otto Porter Jr. (foot) and SF OG Anunoby (wrist) are out indefinitely and will not feature on Monday against the Pistons.

Trends:

Detroit:

  • 5-11 ATS in the last 16 games overall
  • 1-8-1 ATS in the last ten games following an ATS win
  • 2-8 ATS in the last ten games playing on one day of rest

Toronto:

  • 8-2 ATS in the last ten home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400
  • 6-2 ATS in the last eight home games

Detroit Pistons vs. Toronto Raptors Pick

The Pistons lost ten of the last 14 road games, and even though they won six of the previous seven H2H duels, I am going with the Raptors in this one. Toronto’s offense, although better than Detroit’s, is far from being impressive this season (113.1 ppg), but the Raptors’ defense should do the trick on Sunday. The hosts had a top 10 D that allows 112.4 ppg, while the Pistons have the second-worst defense in the NBA that surrenders 119.8 points per contest. Expect Pascal Siakam to register his third consecutive 30-point game.

Pick: Take the Raptors at -8.5 (-130)

The Total

I mentioned Toronto’s not-very-efficient offense, but against Detroit, the Raptors will have an excellent opportunity to erupt offensively. They scored 115 in the previous H2H duel, but this time around, I expect the Raptors to go for 120+ without problems. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Raptors keep the Pistons to double figures, but I still don’t think it’ll happen. Over is 5-2 in the last seven H2H meetings; Over is 21-8-1 in the previous 30 H2H duels in Toronto, while Over is 4-0 in the Pistons’ last four games after allowing more than 125 points in their previous game.Pick: Go Over 228.5 points (-133)
