Another interesting conference duel awaits us in the NCAAB on Monday, February 27, so make sure you read the best Bears vs. Cowboys betting pick and odds.

Oklahoma State is looking to avoid the fifth straight loss when they welcome Baylor at Gallagher-Iba Arena. The Bears are slight -1.5 favorites on BetUS Sportsbook, while the total is set at 143 points. These Big 12 rivals will meet for the second time this season; the Bears won 74-58 at home.

Bears beat Texas to avoid the third loss in a row

The No. 9 Baylor Bears (21-8, 15-13-1 ATS) returned home from a two-game road trip on which they suffered losses to the Kansas Jayhawks and Kansas State Wildcats. The Bears managed to avoid the third consecutive defeat with an 81-72 victory over the Texas Longhorns thanks to a strong second-half showing and 52 points scored. Baylor shot 50.0% from the floor and hit 22 free throws opposite Texas’ eight, and even though the hosts committed 21 turnovers, they did control the boards (37-25).

Junior forward Jalen Bridges led the Bears with 17 points, eight rebounds, game-high four blocks, and game-high two steals. Adam Flagler had 14 points, game-high four assists, and two thefts, Dale Bonner added 13 points, four dishes, and two steals off the bench, while Flo Thamba registered a double-double of 12 points and game-high 12 boards.

G Keyonte George exited the last game with an ankle injury, and it is uncertain if he will dress for Monday’s battle with Oklahoma State.

Cowboys lost again

The Oklahoma State Cowboys (16-13, 14-15-0 ATS) are going through their worst period of the campaign; they lost each of the previous four games. After coming back home from a two-game road trip on which they lost to the TCU Horned Frogs and West Virginia Mountaineers, the Cowboys failed to snap a losing skid with a 73-68 defeat to the Kansas State Wildcats. Oklahoma State had a lead at halftime but the hosts didn’t play well in the second 20 minutes. They shot 41.1% from the field and just 21.7% from the perimeter and didn’t deserve to win.

Senior forward Kalib Boone led the Cowboys with 18 points and game-high three blocks. Caleb Asberry chipped in 13 points, five rebounds, and team-high four assists, John-Michael Wright scored 12 points, while Bryce Thompson had 11 points and four dishes.

G Avery Anderson is sidelined with a wrist injury, and it is uncertain when he will return to the lineup.

Trends:

Baylor:

  • 5-2 ATS in the last seven games overall
  • 5-2-1 ATS in the last eight games following an ATS win
  • 5-2 ATS in the last seven games vs. a team with a winning straight-up record

Oklahoma State:

  • 0-4 ATS in the last four games overall
  • 2-5 ATS in the last seven games following a straight-up loss

Baylor Bears vs. Oklahoma State Cowboys Pick

The recent history is entirely on Baylor’s side. The Bears won six of the previous eight H2H duels, while they also beat the Cowboys in each of the last seven H2Hs in Oklahoma. The Cowboys are struggling right now, and even if the visitors play without their top scorer Keyonte George (16.3 ppg), I am backing the Bears to win as they have more than enough players capable of stepping in offensively. Also, we can’t ignore the fact that Oklahoma State will be without Avery Anderson, their third-best scorer, top assist producer, and top stealer.

Pick: Take the Bears at -1.5 (-110)

The Total

Although the Cowboys have a stronger defense than Baylor as they allow 66.5 points per game, Oklahoma State’s D has been quite porous of late. Namely, the Cowboys allowed 73+ points in each of their previous four games and even conceded 100 against TCU over that stretch. I am backing the Bears to score 75+ here. Over is 8-2 in the Cowboys’ last ten overall; Over is 4-1 in Oklahoma State’s previous five home games, while Over is 10-3 in the Cowboys’ last 13 Monday games.

Pick: Go Over 141.5 points (-133)
